In this lesson - Ms.Burton gave us the script and information to something called the 'Pantagonian fish dance' and then asked us to act it out.
I felt bamboozled at the end of the lesson, but in a way, Enlightened. this lesson had opened my eyes to the world of false information . The class was able to do an entire presentation based on false information which we believed was factual. This also brought my attention to the fact that a presentation based on an unknown source can yield false outcomes. I wish there was more i could write about this lesson but I am too confused about the fact that the whole lesson was actually a fake!

Lesson 2 .. Mime - Reflection
In this lesson, Ms.Burton introduced us to the art of mime. We were only taught the basics such as how to pick up a cup and put it back down. It may seem easy but i actually found it quite it quite difficult to make the whole mime look realistic because i felt weird and i thought that mime was not really needed as i always i had the use of props. but nevertheless, i carried on anyway and kept on trying to perfect it.
We were then set a task to mime breakfast as a family, We were allowed to speak but had no use of props whatsoever. Again, i felt it was a little bit out of my comfort zone but still tried.
Next, We were given a task to mime out a wizard and his two apprentices at work putting things into a cauldron. I played one of the apprentices who puts one of the wrong thing into the cauldron and made things go wrong meaning there was an explosion at the end.
The thing that made this task different however is the fact that this time, Ms.Burton played music that linked to the task. therefore, making it easier for us to get into character and mime properly.

First Theatre lesson.. Introduction - Reflection
In the first lesson, Ms.Burton (My Theatre teacher) gave ous class of three an introduction to the whole entire IB theatre course and described the course in more detail what each assessment consisted of.
Before my first lesson of Theatre, I had many preconceptions about drama and acting (built up from my past of GCSE drama study and school plays/productions). I thought of theatre as the act playing someone else hence why i felt it wasn't always as challenging as it really is.
However, After Ms.Burton's description of the course, my views had changed completely because i suddenly felt like it was a hell of a lot of work.
She then went on to starting a variety of exercises for us to play that was meant to help our focus on stage.
The exercises were:
- The stick movement mirroring exercise
- The balls of focus
- The trust exercise
